Three Rooms Press seeks exciting and diverse new projects. Our commitment to excellence has led us to work on such projects as:

• Award-winning queer young adult and coming-of-age novels; 
• Memoir and biography of overlooked mentors, counterculture figures, or punk rock legends;
• Literary fiction and nonfiction inspired by underrepresented people and themes--and punk rock;
• Mystery and noir featuring complex, diverse main characters in contemporary settings; and
• Science-fiction and fantasy that shows exceptional writing rather than tricky gadgets

Maintenant Dada Journal Submission Information

Three Rooms Press publishes an annual, internationally-renowned journal of contemporary DADA writing and art, MAINTENTANT. The submission period for our next issue, MAINTENANT 19, runs from January 1, 2025 through March 15, 2025. 

MAINTENANT 19 will feature DADA work on the theme of ETHICS CLEANSING. 

In the face of right and wrong by the breed of weak or strong, humanity has placed far too much emphasis on belongings, not belonging. 

There was a time when ethical behavior had a fixity of purpose: the prevention of corruption, favoritism, undue influence and abuse of entrusted power. 

Yet it is those who commit these transgressions that prosper most, by completely dispensing with the need for ethics. 

What exists is a philosophy where the only guiding principle is to ensure the greatest profits. 

MAINTENANT 19 is a testament to the unflinching exposure of self-righteousness. We are no longer bred to be rational creatures. Denial is key. Freedom from blame is the promise. But if blame we must, then here we must first blame the face in the mirror that accepts this way of life. 

These times of Ethics Cleansing enable some to think they are better than others, but if someone must be better, then let it be ourselves.

IMPORTANT Specifications:

• You may enter up to 4 pieces for consideration, and all entries should center on the theme of ETHICS CLEANSING.
• All text files must be save as WORD documents (please do NOT send PDFs). Each entry should have its own separate Word document and separate submission form.
• All art files must be a minimum of 1280 px wide. NOTE: Our journal is VERTICAL orientation. VERTICAL images work best! Please include title of piece, plus media and size information (in inches, mm, or pixels).
